Klosters

Klosters, a renowned winter resort nestling in the beautiful Prättigau valley 1200 metres above sea level, still retains the characteristics and charm of a typical Swiss village with its chocolate box Chalets and traditional farmhouses.

Winter paradise

Klosters links with the Parsenn ski area of Davos and the Destination Davos Klosters boasts 6 mountains and 300 km of pistes spread over about 85 descents. There is fantastic skiing for all levels on well prepared pistes, some of the best off-piste and touring to be found anywhere in Europe, excellent free riding and snowboarding mountains, extensive cross-country trails and for the non-skiers there are plenty of winter walking paths, snow-shoe trekking, toboggan runs and horse-drawn sleigh rides and naturally wonderful facilities for skating, curling and ice hockey too! The relaxed and friendly atmosphere of Klosters is a great option for families and Davos Klosters bears the “Families welcome” quality label.

Summer activities

Summer in Klosters is an idyllic holiday with over 700km of trails ranging from footpaths through to demanding mountain hikes in the Prättigau/Davos/Klosters region, extensive mountain bike trails and easier cycling paths, rock climbing, swimming, golf, tennis and a vast number of open air BBQ and picnic areas in the most beautiful locations. Madrisa Mountain boasts a wild herb garden, an energy-encounter trail and a popular ‘Kinderland’.

Colourful autumns

Autumn in the Alps is a must! Come and witness the dramatic landscapes with stunning colours and perfect temperatures for hiking. Many traditional activities happen in the autumn with the cows coming down from the Alps and harvest festivals taking place all over the region. It is a mere hop on the train through the Vereina Tunnel to visit the quaint villages with their ‘sgraffito’ houses in the Engadine and admire the magnificent displays of colour from the golden larches.
